The radio program consists of spoken word broadcasts in more than 20 different languages and a diverse music program beyond the mainstream. The editors largely work on a voluntary basis in community radio and focus on pressing topics that receive little attention in the mainstream media.
On March 31, 1999, Proton – the free radio, went on air for the first time. Since then, the diverse, multilingual, and ad-free program has been broadcasted continuously every day on FM and the internet.
